Wednesday afternoons 1 – 3 pm

Come along and join us for an interactive multi-cultural afternoon.

This group began by the participants learning basic Te Reo Maori and some waiata (songs) and learning more about our Maori culture here in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

It is now being extended to sometimes sharing and learning about other cultures.

The afternoon begins with karakia (prayer) and the sharing of pepeha (introductions). Waiata are always included.

The group is also looking at marae visits, attending kapa haka sessions etc.

Every month we have a raranga session (flax weaving). This is popular and well supported by peers.

A great group for learning, enlightenment and good sharing.
